HC Deb 20 February 1961 vol 635 c12W
74. Lord Balniel

asked the Minister of of Health what discussions have taken place between the North-West Metropolitan Regional Hospital Board, the hospital management committee and the local general medical practitioners as to the part which the latter can play in staffing the new Welwyn Garden City Hospital; and what decision has been reached.

Mr. Powell

In discussions last October it was agreed that general practitioners would be allotted ten beds to treat their own patients and that clinical assistantships both honorary and paid would be available to them.
