HC Deb 20 February 1961 vol 635 c21W
Captain Kerby

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he is aware of the danger to health caused in the East Preston area of Sussex and adjoining areas by the overloading of the sewage and drainage system due to indiscriminate building development in that area; and if he will use his planning powers to arrest this development.

Sir K. Joseph

My right hon. Friend does not think development has been indiscriminate or that there is any reason for alarm, but he is keeping closely in touch with the position and a current application will be referred to him before any permission is given.
