§ 95. Mr. Nabarroasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will make a statement concerning Treasury financial support for the recently formed Export Council for Europe; and to what extent the Economic Secretary to the Treasury is responsible for liaison between this body and other export promotion bodies of the Federation of British Industries, the National Union of Manufacturers, the Association of British Chambers of Commerce, the Institute of Directors, and others.
§ Mr. ErrollGrants in aid of the expenses of the Export Council for Europe, which will be conditional on an equivalent contribution from industry and commerce to the Council, are met from the Board of Trade Vote. The amount of the grant in aid of the Council's expenses in the current financial year will be £5,000. Proposals will shortly be laid before the House seeking approval for a grant of £20,000 in 1961–62. The Council is itself responsible for liaison with other bodies concerned with the promotion of exports.
