asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will arrange for a public local inquiry to be held into the proposal to build a security prison at Blackmore, near Malvern.

Mr. Vosper:

My right hon. Friend expects shortly to receive the views of the local authorities concerned. He will then consider whether a public inquiry is desirable.
