HC Deb 17 February 1961 vol 634 c165W
46. Mr. McMaster

asked the Prime Minister if, during his forthcoming visit to the United States of America he will draw to the attention of President Kennedy the desirability of adopting a common policy aimed at preventing practices of flag discrimination being adopted by the major trading countries of the world and at discouraging United States support being given to ship owners whose vessels sail under flags of convenience.

The Prime Minister:

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave to the right hon. Gentleman the Member for Easington (Mr. Shinwell) on 14th February.
