67. Mr. Prentice

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the fact that the mid-January figures for unemployment in Northern Ireland show a further increase of 4,704 over the previous figure, he will now make a statement on his proposals for dealing with the situation in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Government.

71. Sir D. Campbell

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is now in a position to give details of Her Majesty's Government's proposals for assisting the Northern Ireland Government in their schemes for increased employment in Northern Ireland.

74. Mr. McMaster

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in view of the recent increase in unemployment in Northern Ireland and of the threat of serious redundancy in the shipbuilding yards, he will review the Government's efforts to provide, in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Government, further employment in the shipbuilding and light and heavy engineering industries in Northern Ireland.

Mr. R. A. Butler:

I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
