HC Deb 09 February 1961 vol 634 c97W
115. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that the delay in providing the projected pontoon dock for Aberdeen harbour is causing unemployment and loss there; whether the third meeting of the relevant Joint Working Party has yet been held; and if he will take urgent steps to expedite the provision and completion of this pontoon dock before the coming winter.

Mr. Marples:

I must await the Supplementary Report from the Joint Working Party before decisions can be made about future dock facilities at Aberdeen. I am not aware of any loss of work due to the fact that the pontoon dock has not been replaced. The Working Party have so far held five meetings.
