§ Mr. Templeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer to give the total expenditure on the advertising of Government Bonds, Loans and Savings Certificates during the years ending 5th April, 1958, 1959 and 1960, and the figures applicable to the advertising of Premium Bonds alone during the same years.
§ Mr. Barber:Expenditure on poster, Press and television advertising of National Savings securities and Post Office and trustee savings banks met from Votes in the years ending 31st March, 1958, 1959 and 1960 was:

Government market securities are not advertised, but expenditure of the order of £5,000 a year is incurred on inserting formal notices of issues in the Press.
