asked the Minister of Education what steps he is taking to bring the White Paper, Better Opportunities in Technical Education, Command Paper No. 1254, to the attention of industrial organisations and to secure action on its recommendations.

Many industrial organisations were consulted about the proposals contained in the White Paper, and are collaborating with the educational bodies concerned in putting them into effect. Apart from the general publicity, a summary of the proposals was sent to over 400 technical and specialist journals. I hope that everyone interested in technical education will help in putting these reforms into operation.
