§ 48. Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what information or estimates he has that show approximately the increase in accommodation to let in the London and Greater London areas during the past three years, other than municipally owned houses; what are the average rents for small houses thus made available; and to what extent in those areas efforts have been successful to secure the transference to smaller accommodation of municipal tenants who no longer need the full accommodation they had.
Dr. HillThere are no statistics that would enable me to give the information sought. As regards the last part of the Question, many authorities in greater London are tackling under-occupation by building more small dwellings and by facilitating exchanges.
