42. Mr. H. Wilsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement about the application or approach made to the International Monetary Fund for a loan, the amount of money asked for, and the conditions which are to be attached to the granting of the loan.
§ Mr. BarberAn application to the International Monetary Fund was made on 25th July. This is still under consideration by the Fund, and in the meantime the details are confidential. We expect the Fund Board to make and announce its decision shortly.
