Mr. Prentice

asked the Minister of Transport when he expects to introduce legislation relating to fishermen's articles of agreement, so as to bring United Kingdom law fully into line with Convention 114 of the International Labour Organisation.

Mr. Marples

As stated in the White Paper, Cmnd. 1318, presented to Parliament on 23rd March, law and practice in the United Kingdom conform with the provisions of Convention 114 except in one respect. Legislation to enable the Convention to be ratified will be introduced when a suitable opportunity arises.
