Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that many landlords are demanding, and receiving, excessive rents for decontrolled properties; and whether he will introduce a special excess property or rent tax for all moneys received by landlords above a stated figure, after allowing for actual expenditure on repairs and decorations by the recipients of these excess rents.
