§ Mr. Iain MacleodMinimum wages are usually determined on an industrial or occupational basis, either under statute or by collective agreement, and are not fixed on a territory-wide basis, although minimum wages for unskilled workers in particular areas are sometimes prescribed. It would be a lengthy task, involving consulation with each Government, to obtain particulars of all current minimum wages. If, however, the hon. Member will let me know the territories and occupations in which he is particularly interested I will do my best to obtain the information for him.
