§ 59. Mr. Stonehouseasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make a statement on his discussions with the Kabaka of Buganda, on the arrangements for the forthcoming elections and the appointment of the Relationships Commission.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe hon. Member will have seen the reply to the first part of his Question which I gave him on 27th October. On the second part, the registration of voters is now complete and I understand that polling will take place in February or March next year. The terms of reference of the Relationships Commission form Appendix I of my despatch of 14th September to the Governor of Uganda, a copy of which is in the Library. I hope to make an announcement about the Relationships Commission in the near future.
