§ Mr. Iain MacleodA Motion to amend the General Assembly Election Act, 1959, was introduced in the House of Assembly in June of this year. It included a recommendation in favour of votes for women. An enlarged Constitutional Committee of the House of Assembly was appointed to deal with the matter during the recess and to report back in January, 1961.
