Royleasked the Attorney-General when the advisory committees on magisterial appointments for north, mid, and south Devonshire last met; how long it is since any recommendations for appointment to the commission were made by them; and how long it is since there was any change in the personnel of the membership of the advisory committees.
§ The Attorney-GeneralAdvisory committees are appointed by my noble Friend the Lord Chancellor to assist him, personally and confidentially, in certain matters relating to the appointment of Justices of the Peace. It is not in the public interest to publish any information about the membership or proceedings of these committees.
