§ 60. Mr. Pavittasked the Minister of State for Commonwealth Relations if he will take steps for the formation of a Commonwealth Council of Nutrition as an agency analogous to the recently established Commonwealth Council on Education.
§ Mr. R. ThompsonHer Majesty's Government have every sympathy with the object of improving standards of nutrition in Commonwealth countries, but are not convinced that an official initiative in the sense suggested is the best way of furthering that object. The Council for Education in the Common-94W wealth is an unofficial body, though it was set up on the initiative of members of this House.
