§ 49. Mr. A. Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will request the Government of the United States of America to lend to him the various captured documents in their possession showing that judges and others in high government office in West Germany were guilty of Nazi crimes, for the completion of this country's records of this period; and if he will exhibit these in the Library of the House of Commons.
§ Mr. R. AllanNo. There is no reason to suppose that the United States Government have any such documents in their possession. Records of membership of the Nazi Party and organisations are not, of course, the same thing as evidence of Nazi crimes.
