§ 59. Mr. P. Browneasked the Secretary of State for War if he is satisfied that the proposed future use of Instow Sands by the Services fulfils the conditions agreed upon at the 1951 inquiry; and if he will make a statement.
§ 60. Mr. Thorpeasked the Secretary of State for War what representations he has received from the Devon County Council and other local bodies regarding the use made by the military authorities of Instow beach; and whether he will now hold a public inquiry so that these objections may be considered by his Department.
§ Mr. SoamesMy proposals for the use of Instow beach, and their relationship with the 1951 inquiry, are being considered by the Devon County Council. This will provide an opportunity for comment from local interests. My further action will depend on the Council's reply. The only representations I have received were from the Instow Parish Council.
