§ Mr. WoodThe necessary preliminary investigations are being carried out urgently in order that the inquiry can open as soon as possible. I cannot yet say when the report of the Chief Inspector will be available. It will be laid before Parliament, as required by the Mines and Quarries Act, 1954.
