§ Miss PittWith the Ministry's encouragement some local health authorities have already been able in cooperation with the hospital service to nstitute routine tests for phenylketonuria. In the light of the experience so gained, and the conclusions reached at a recent professional conference on this subject, consideration is now being given to what further steps may usefully be taken.
