§ Miss PittThe detailed proposals which result from the discussions now proceeding on the Government's offer to202W accept the Royal Commission's recommendations as a whole will need to be considered by the British Medical Association and the Joint Consultants Committee. The new rates of remuneration for doctors would be brought into operation as soon as practicable after they had indicated their willingness to accept the proposals. These rates would, in accordance with the Royal Commission's recommendations, take effect from 1st January, 1960.
