§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty to make a detailed statement particularising the allocation to various shipyards of the work on the three new Leander Class frigates and also on the auxiliary ships, and also indicating the distribution of the work on components for those ships.
§ Mr. C. Ian Orr-EwingWe will shortly be inviting competitive tenders for three new Leander Class frigates and some auxiliary vessels. The allocation of orders will depend upon the tenders submitted and responsibility for obtaining components will rest primarily with the successful tenderers.
