53. Mrs. Butlerasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what research is being undertaken by his Department into the diagnosis of bovine tuberculosis; and when he expects to introduce tests Which are more reliable than those in use at present.
§ Mr. HareMy Central Veterinary Laboratory is continually seeking ways to improve current techniques for diagnosing bovine tuberculosis. I am advised that the tuberculin test used in this country is one of the most accurate of biological tests. I cannot accept the inference that it is not reliable.
