HC Deb 26 February 1960 vol 618 c93W
Dr. A. Thompson

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, pending consideration of the Drew Report proposals for a breathalyser test for drunken drivers, he will immediately draw the attention of all police forces to the merits of the method of urine alcohol tests at present used successfully by the Glasgow police.

Mr. R. A. Butler

Chief officers of police are already aware of the value of urine alcohol tests. These tests have been widely used for a number of years.
