Mr. J. C. Jennings

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the number of persons retired from the public service, affected by the Pensions (Increase) Acts, who retired in 1939 or earlier years, between 1940 and 1944, 1945 and 1949, 1950 and 1954, and 1955 and 1959, respectively, and who are still living.

The estimated numbers, which must be regarded as approximate, of former public servants receiving increases under the Pensions (Increase) Acts are as follows:
