§ Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what progress is being made in enabling Africans in Tanganyika to study and sit for the General Certificate of Education in the territory itself.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodI would refer the hon. Member to my reply on 1st December to the hon. Member for Govan (Mr. Rankin). A pass with credit in the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate examination is equivalent to a pass at ordinary level in the General Certificate of Education.
