§ Mr. Fisherasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will review the leave periods of the overseas service with a view to reducing the length of each leave but making it available at shorter intervals than at present.
Mr. MacleodLeave periods are a matter for the overseas Governments to decide. But as part of the new Overseas Service Aid Scheme I am suggesting shorter tours in some territories and general improvements in family passages.
