§ 75. Mr. Swinglerasked the Minister of Aviation if he will give an assurance that Her Majesty's Government will seek the consent of the House before undertaking any further expenditure on the Blue Streak missile as a space launching vehicle.
§ Mr. SandysWe are at present examining with the firms concerned the cost and implications of adapting Blue Streak for use as a launcher for space satellites. The Government will consider the position in the light of that information, after which a further statement will be made to the House.
