§ Mr. Harold Daviesasked the President of the Board of Trade how many quotas for imports from China have been rendered ineffective by allocation of these quotas to firms unable to carry out the particular business concerned.
§ Mr. MaudlingImporters whose record shows that they have been able to trade with China receive preference in the grant of licences. If experience shows that any firms to whom licences have been issued are unable to do business with China, I shall be prepared to review the matter.
