§ 27 and 30. Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Minister of Aviation (1) upon what Geographical grounds he bases his official statement that Leuchars Airport is more inaccessible to the City of Dundee than Errol aerodrome as a terminal for a possible air service;
(2) upon what grounds he bases his estimate that an air service between Leuchars and Edinburgh would lose £45,000 annually; and if he will provide a detailed analysis of estimated running costs and revenue which led him to accept this figure.
§ Mr. RipponB.E.A. has estimated the annual loss on a twice daily return service between Dundee or Perth and Edinburgh at about £45,000. As there is no direct road between Dundee and Leuchars, it seems likely that Leuchars would prove less attractive than Errol.
