HC Deb 30 November 1959 vol 614 c84W
68. Dr. Stross

asked the Minister of Health whether he is satisfied that the capital investment plans of the regional boards can be effectively carried out without a substantial increase in the staff concerned; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Walker-Smith

A considerable increase of staff, particularly architects, will be needed to implement the Government's increased programme of hospital building. I am discussing with regional hospital boards how additional architects might best be recruited and trained.
