asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will introduce legislation to permit courts in Scotland to award expenses to persons charged with, and found not guilty of, crimes and offences.

I have nothing at present to add to the reply given by my right

because they were no longer required for the use of the hospitals concerned, have been disposed of by sale or leased to private farmers or market gardeners. The list also includes farms or market gardens previously leased to hospitals which have been returned to their owners for the same reason; it does not include short-term lets of hospital land for seasonal grazing to farmers in the area of particular hospitals.
