§ Mr. Speirasked the Minister of Transport, if he will state the names of the members of the Committee studying rural transport, together with the areas they represent; to what extent the Committee will take evidence regarding measures introduced in foreign countries to deal with this problem; and when he anticipates the Committee will be able to make its report.

The members sit as individuals and not as representatives of particular areas or organisations. The Committee has 37W already obtained reports from a number of foreign countries. It may be necessary to get more information by visits abroad. The Committee has this in mind. It is too early yet in the Committee's work for me to say when it will report.
