HC Deb 04 November 1959 vol 612 c52W
81. Mr. W. W. Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will outline the policy regarding the shipment of arms to Cuba; and whether he will state the value and nature of such shipments in the past six months.

Mr. R. Allan

My right hon. Friend explained the policy regarding the sale of arms to all foreign countries in his reply to the right hon. and learned Member for Rowley Regis and Tipton (Mr. A. Henderson) on 18th February. The only shipment to Cuba in the past six months has been the five Sea Fury aircraft sold to the former Cuban Government about which my hon. Friend informed the House on 15th May. It is not the practice to disclose the value of individual consignments of arms.
