§ 81. Mr. Lipton
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to what extent it is the policy of Her Majesty's Government to discourage more West Indians from coming to Great Britain.
§ Mr. Iain Macleod
British subjects are free to enter this country without restriction. All possible steps, however, are taken to ensure that intending emigrants from the West Indies are made aware of the conditions they are likely to meet in the United Kingdom, with particular emphasis on prospects of employment.
