Baldwinasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation how many closure proposals have been submitted to the Transport Users' Consultative Committees in the last two years to the most convenient date; and in how many cases the committees have given a decision against the British Transport Commission's proposals.
§ Mr. WatkinsonDuring 1957 and 1958, 246 closure proposals were submitted to the Transport Users' Consultative Committees. Of these, 12 were rejected, and a further 13 modified at the Committees' request.
