79. Mrs. Butlerasked the Minister of Health what action he is taking to prohibit the use of lead or other harmful substances in the printing of wrappers immediately in contact with sweets.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithIt is already an offence against Regulation 10 of the Food Hygiene Regulations, 1955, to use for the wrapping of any open food any paper which is liable to contaminate it. I have no evidence to suggest the need for a specific prohibition of particular substances.
