HC Deb 11 May 1959 vol 605 c97W
66. Mr. T. Brown

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance if he will state the size, prescribed under his regulations, of silicotic nodules which have to be found in the lungs of a mineworker who dies from silicosis, before his Dependants can claim compensation.

Miss Pitt

Neither the statutory definition of this disease nor any regulations provide any limitation by reference to size of silicotic nodules. My hon. Friend the Joint Parliamentary Secretary has written to the hon. Member very fully on this subject.
