HC Deb 05 May 1959 vol 605 cc29-30W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in HANSARD a list of Members who have been abroad during the last five years, in respect of whom the Treasury have been asked to pay any part of the costs involved, the countries which these Members have visited, the objects of the visits, and the respective costs involved.

Mr. Amory

The Treasury have made no grants or payments to Members. Grants are made to bodies such as the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and the Inter-Parliamentary Union, but the allocation of their expenditure is a matter for those bodies.
