HC Deb 26 March 1959 vol 602 c174W
78. Mr. Iremonger

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance how many applicants for unemployment pay as a result of redundancy in the Ford Motor Company works at Dagenham have been unable to obtain unemployment pay; and for what reasons.

Miss Pitt

I am not aware of any redundancy at these works. But I understand that the question whether workers who lost their employment between 23rd February and 9th March as the result of a stoppage of work due to a trade dispute are entitled to unemployment benefit is under appeal.
