§ 22. Mr. D. Priceasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, in view of the failure of the International Civil Aviation Organisation Conference on navigational aids to make an objective assessment of the relative merits of the United States VOR-DMET and the British Decca systems, if he will consult with the Ministers of Transport of the other Commonwealth countries with a view to taking joint action to persuade the conference to make such an objective assessment; and if he will also take advantage of the forthcoming meeting of the Transport Ministers of the Council of Europe to gain the support of his European colleagues.
§ Mr. HayThe Answer to the first part of the Question is "Yes": as regards the second part, the European Conference of Ministers of Transport, to which I assume my hon. Friend intended to refer, is concerned only with surface transport.
