HC Deb 17 March 1959 vol 602 c15W
62. Lieut.-Colonel Bromley-Davenport

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, with a view to ensuring the success of the forthcoming Lisbon Trade Fair and a permanent increase in British exports to Portugal, he will again review sympathetically the desirability of reducing the duty on port wine imported into Great Britain to 26s. a gallon so that it will once again bear a reasonable and proper relationship to the duty imposed on light wine.

Mr. Erroll

I will, of course, consider what my hon. and gallant Friend says, but he will not expect me to anticipate my right hon. Friend's Budget.
