§ 61. Mr. J. Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if, in view of the increasing disorder, he will now consider the sending of an all-party delegation, on the lines of the Parliamentary delegation that investigated the Kenya 93W Emergency in 1954, to visit Nyasaland and report upon the disturbances now occurring in that protectorate.
§ 63. Mr. Swinglerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if, in view of the further outbreaks of violence, he will now reconsider the proposal to send a Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry to Nyasaland.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI am convinced that peaceful conditions must be restored before consideration can be given to any proposal of this kind.
