asked the President of the Board of Trade if it has now been decided to add to the list of places in which financial assistance is available under the Distribution of Industry (Industrial Finance) Act, 1958; and if he will make a statement.

Yes. Five areas are now being added to the list of places for which financial assistance will he available for suitable projects in them. The areas to be added are:

In County Durham: Sunderland, Pallion and Southwick.

In Lancashire: Oldham, Shaw and Middleton, Rochdale and Littleborough.

In Scotland: Arbroath and Carnoustie, Sanquhar.
