asked the Minister of Supply what offers he has received for the purchase of the Princess flying boats owned by his Department; how far the offers which have been made have been supported by evidence of financial backing for the project to acquire, equip and operate them.

As has been indicated on previous occasions, a number of possible uses for the boats are being discussed and my right hon. Friend will be very happy to receive a definite proposal. The availability of finance for the project would naturally be one of the factors to be taken into account in considering any such proposal.
