§ 73. Mr. T. Brownasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance if he will consider the advisability of requesting the Pneumoconiosis and Silicosis Panels to adopt the Gough process, 11W details of which have been sent to him, in the course of their examination of men who are suspected to be suffering from either disease.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterThis technique is already in use at certain of the panels, and I am considering the possibility of extending its use.
§ 74. Mr. T. Brownasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance if he will give urgent consideration to the recommendations made concerning the complaint of pneumoconiosis in the report by Dr. Howell, a copy of which has been sent to him.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterThe full and interesting report to which the hon. Gentleman refers has recently been sent to me by the General Council of the Trade Union Congress and will clearly require careful study before conclusions can be reached on its recommendations.
