HC Deb 02 March 1959 vol 601 c1W
13. Mr. F. Noel-Baker

asked the Minister of Health what steps he proposes to take to improve maternity services in Swindon, following the publication of the Cranbrook Committee's Report.

Mr. R. Thompson

With regard to action following the Report of the Cranbrook Committee, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Tynemouth (Dame Irene Ward) on 20th January. I may, however, add that the Oxford Regional Hospital Board has recently arranged for the use of maternity beds at the R.A.F. Hospital, Wroughton, to serve the Swindon area.
