§ Mr. C. Ian Orr-EwingThe circumstances attending the fire in H.M.S. "Broadley" were fully investigated by a Naval board of inquiry. Losses of naval ships are not formally written off, and an exact estimate is not available but the loss was something of the order of half a million pounds.
